OSiDiS: "Classic"
Operating System: Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Server 2003 Version: 3.0x Size: 11Mb Configuration: 32Mb RAM / 20Mb Hard disk Internet connection: xDSL, Cable Language: US English Documentation: online help The "classic" version is suited for one PC, or one server connected to the Internet. It is also suited for multiple PC's or servers connected to internet through a local area network. The data are saved on remote OSiDiS servers according amount of space you have subscribed to. OSiDiS allows you to define the timing and frequency of the back up, the exact list of files to back up and which data you'd like to restore, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You also have the possibility to check the current space used on our server. You can download a trial version of 15 days and the price list is available on our site.

The back up server is located in your own offices and the workstations are located on your premises or connected to your network (Internet, Extranet VPN .). The "corporate" version is suited for large networks, where the IT department will install, maintain and manage a complete OSiDiS system. The OSiDiS system consists of one local server as many clients as there are PC's to protect. The data are saved on a local OSiDiS servers. there is no capacity limitation on this server. Initial Loader: "1stBackup"
After OSiDiS has been installed for the first time, it performs the first (initial) back up. The initial back up may be a very long process through the internet connection especially for subscription above 2Gb. OSiDiS Initial Loader is a practical tool that allows you to perform the initial back up not through the internet connection but on local CD's or DVD's. It will take care of encrypting your data and splitting the whole back up set into 700Mb files (for CD's) or 4.7Gb files (for DVD's). The CD's or DVD's that have been generated with the Initial Loader have then to be sent to the closest OSiDiS Data Center so that your data can be transfered to our servers and made available on line.
